My Crafting Journey…
When I was younger, I used to watch my mother bead. She would bead beautiful rosettes and bolo ties. She also beaded earrings. As a Native American growing up on the reservation, many of our mothers, aunties, and grandmothers beaded.
My mother also sewed. She made clothing and bags. I remember her as being innovative and creative. She could make anything out of nothing, and she made it look good!
As a young adult, I started getting interested in beading. My mother and older sister taught me the basics. From there, I made my first medallion. It wasn’t much to look at, but I was proud of the work I put into it. That first medallion has since turned into medallions, beaded necklaces, beaded earrings, beaded lanyards, etc.
As time goes on, I have become more and more interested in other types of crafts as well. Join me as I continue to work on the beading crafts that I love and learn new crafts along the way!
I will share all the tips, tricks, and opinions I can as we go! :)
